NGC 4928 (also IRAS 13004-0749, MCG -1-33-75 and PGC 45052) is a magnitude +12.5 spiral galaxy located 79 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 25th April 1784.
