NGC 4022 (also MCG 4-28-111, UGC 6975 and PGC 37729) is a magnitude +13.0 face-on spiral galaxy located 199 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The galaxy was discovered by Danish-Irish astronomer John Louis Emil Dreyer, assistant to Lawrence Parsons, 4th Earl of Rosse, using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 26th April 1878.
