NGC 4018 (also IRAS 11561+2535, MCG 4-28-108, UGC 6966 and PGC 37699) is a magnitude +13.8 edge-on spiral galaxy located 206 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The galaxy was discovered by Danish-Irish astronomer John Louis Emil Dreyer, assistant to Lawrence Parsons, 4th Earl of Rosse, using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr Castle on the 26th April 1878.
