NGC 5776 (also MCG 1-38-18 and PGC 53289) is a magnitude +14.4 elliptical galaxy located 376 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 27th April 1862.
