NGC 2896 (also MCG 4-23-7 and PGC 26985) is a magnitude +14.0 spiral galaxy located 192 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy was discovered by Danish-German astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor st the Copenhagen Observatory on the 1st May 1864.
