NGC 6766 (also NGC 6884, HD 191916 and PK 82 +7.1) is a magnitude +10.9 planetary nebula located 12700 to to 17600 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus. The planetary nebula was discovered by American astronomer Edward Charles Pickering using a 38.1 cm (15 inch) refractor at the Harvard College Observatory on the 8th May 1883. The planetary nebula was rediscovered by Ralph Copeland in September 1884 and relisted as NGC 6884
