NGC 5518 (also MCG 4-34-6 and PGC 50817) is a magnitude +14.0 lenticular galaxy located 220 million light-years away in the constellation Boötes.
The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Édouard Stephan using a 80.01 cm (31.5 inch) reflector at the Marseille Observatory on the 10th May 1882.
