NGC 5661 (also IRAS 14294+0628, MCG 1-37-23, UGC 9346 and PGC 51921) is a magnitude +13.0 spiral galaxy located 108 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 12th May 1793.
