NGC 6379 (also IRAS 17283+1619, MCG 3-44-10, UGC 10886 and PGC 60421) is a magnitude +12.9 spiral galaxy located 275 million light-years away in the constellation Hercules.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) speculum reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 15th May 1864.
