NGC 5612 (also ESO 22-1, IRAS 14281-7809 and PGC 52057) is a magnitude +12.1 spiral galaxy located 124 million light-years away in the constellation Apus.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 23rd May 1835.
