NGC 5568 (also MCG 6-31-98 and PGC 51168) is a magnitude +14.7 face-on spiral galaxy located 390 million light-years away in the constellation Boötes.
The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Guillaume Bigourdan using a 30.48 cm (12 inch) refractor at the Paris Observatory on the 27th May 1886.
