NGC 5826 (also NGC 5870, IRAS 15053+5540, MCG 9-25-16, UGC 9725 and PGC 53949) is a magnitude +14.4 spiral galaxy located 38 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 9th June 1885. The galaxy was rediscovered by Lewis Swift on the 11th June 1885 and relisted as NGC 5870.
