NGC 5391 is a lost or non-existent object in the constellation Canes Venatici.
The object was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 16th June 1884. Subsequent observations of the position show no observable astronomical object.
