NGC 7378 (also MCG -2-58-5 and PGC 69734) is a magnitude +12.7 barred spiral galaxy located 118 million parsecs away in the constellation Aquarius.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/19 refracting telescope at the Arcetri Observatory on the 19th September 1879.
