NGC 6505 (also MCG 11-22-7, UGC 11026 and PGC 60995) is a magnitude +14.4 lenticular galaxy located 589 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 27th June 1884.
