NGC 6602 (also IRAS 18145+2501, MCG 4-43-21, UGC 11184 and PGC 61674) is a magnitude +13.8 barred spiral galaxy located 142 million light-years away in the constellation Hercules.
The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Guillaume Bigourdan using a 30.48 cm (12 inch) refractor at the Paris Observatory on the 1st July 1886.
