NGC 6117 (also NGC 6117A, IRAS 16174+3712, MCG 6-36-22, UGC 10338 and PGC 57816) is a magnitude +13.6 spiral galaxy located 394 million light-years away in the constellation Corona Borealis.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) speculum reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 5th July 1864.
