NGC 6924 (also ESO 528-16, MCG -4-48-14 and PGC 64945) is a magnitude +12.8 elliptical galaxy located 279 million light-years in the constellation Capricornus.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Francis Preserved Leavenworth using a 66.04 cm (26 inch) refracting telescope at the Leander McCormick observatory on the 8th July 1885.
