Menzyswil Near Taters, Fribourg, Switzerland Fell 1903, July Ordinary chondrite (L5) Two pieces of this meteorite (24.8 and 4.1 g) turned up in a private meteorite collection. A label signed by M. Musy, then curator of the Fribourg Natural History Museum, says: "Found at Menzyswil July 1903 before a barn next to a hole, made by a flash of lightning. The farmers say that the stone fell with the lightning and shattered when it hit the ground; it was hot, when they picked it up."
