NGC 6814 (also IRAS 19399-1026, MCG -2-50-1 and PGC 63545) is a magnitude +11.2 barred spiral galaxy located 72 million light-years away in the constellation Aquila.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector in Slough, Berkshire on the 2nd August 1788.
