NGC 220 (also ESO 29-SC3 and GC 115) is a magnitude +12.4 open star cluster in the Small Magellanic Cloud located 210,000 light-years away in the constellation Tucana.

The cluster was likely first observed by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop using a homemade 9-foot 22.86 cm (9 inch) f/12 speculum Newtonian reflector at Hunter Street, Paramatta, New South Wales, Australia, on the 1st August 1826.
The cluster was independently discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at the Cape of Good Hope on the 12th August 1834. 

Right Ascension 00h 40m 30.0s, Declination -73° 24' 15"
