NGC 6971 (also MCG 1-53-2, UGC 11637 and PGC 65462) is a magnitude +13.7 spiral galaxy located 252 million light-years away in the constellation Delphinus.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92-cm (48-inch) reflector in Malta on the 15th August 1863.
