NGC 6691 (also IRAS 18382+5535, MCG 9-30-31, UGC 11318 and PGC 62202) is a magnitude +12.9 barred spiral galaxy located 270 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 16th August 1884.
