NGC 7539 (also MCG 4-54-35, UGC 12443 and PGC 70783) is a magnitude +12.5 face-on spiral galaxy located 278 million light-years away in the constellation Pegasus.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Windsor Road in Slough, Berkshire, on the 17th August 1828.
