NGC 7006 (also Caldwell 42 and GCL 119) is a magnitude +10.6 globular star cluster located 135,000 light-years away in the constellation Delphinus.

The cluster was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Datchet, England on the 21st August 1784.

Right Ascension 21h 01m 29.4s, Declination +16° 11' 14.4"

NGC 7006 resides in the outskirts of the Milky Way, and it is part of the galactic halo.
