NGC 528 (also IRAS 01226+3324, MCG 5-4-57, UGC 988 and PGC 5290) is a magnitude +12.5 spiral galaxy located 221 million light-years away in the constellation Andromeda.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 22nd August 1865.
