NGC 7005 is a magnitude +13.1 asterism located near Messier 73 in the constellation Aquarius.
The group of stars were discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 11.68 cm (4.6-inch) f/16.8 Fraunhofer refractor at the observatory in Pleissenburg castle in central Leipzig on the 23rd August 1855.
