NGC 7311 (also MCG 1-57-9, UGC 12080 and PGC 69172) is a magnitude +12.5 spiral galaxy located 208 million light-years away in the constellation Pegasus.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 30th August 1785.
