NGC 532 (also IRAS 01226+0900, MCG 1-4-56, UGC 982 and PGC 5264) is a magnitude +12.9 spiral galaxy located 109 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces.
The galaxy was discovered by by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Observatory House, Windsor Road, Slough, Berkshire on the 4th September 1786.
