NGC 147 (also DDO3, Caldwell 17, MCG 8-2-5, UGC 326 and PGC 2004) is a magnitude +12.1 dwarf spheroidal galaxy located 2.53 ±0.11 million light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia.
The dwarf galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Windsor Road in Slough, Berkshire, on the 8th September 1829.
