NGC 7720 (also MCG 4-55-36, UGC 12716 and PGC 71985) is a magnitude +12.3 elliptical galaxy located 417 million light-years away in the constellation Pegasus.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire on the 10th September 1784.
