NGC 6667 (also NGC 6668, NGC 6678, IRAS 18308+6756, MCG 11-22-53, UGC 11269 and PGC 61972) is a magnitude +12.7 barred spiral galaxy located 119 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 11th September 1883. The galaxy was rediscovered by Lewis Swift in June 1885 and relisted as NGC 6668. The galaxy was again rediscovered by Lewis Swift in July 1886 and relisted as NGC 6678.
