NGC 746 (also IRAS 01548+4441, MCG 7-5-3, UGC 1438 and PGC 7399) is a magnitude +12.9 irregular galaxy located 32 million light-years away in the constellation Andromeda.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 12th September 1885.
