NGC 708 (also MCG 6-5-31, UGC 1348 and PGC 6962) is a magnitude +12.7 elliptical galaxy located 223 million light-years away in the constellation Andromeda.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road in Slough, Berkshire on the 21st September 1786.
