NGC 705 (also MCG 6-5-30, UGC 1345 and PGC 6958) is a magnitude +13.6 spiral galaxy located 207 million light-years away in the constellation Andromeda.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road in Slough, Berkshire on the 21st September 1786.
