NGC 830 (also MCG -1-6-50 and PGC 8201) is a magnitude +13.3 lenticular galaxy located 177 million light-years away in the constellation Cetus.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 23rd September 1865.
