NGC 225 (also Collinder 7 and OCL 305) is a magnitude +7.0 open star cluster located 2,143 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia.
The cluster was first discovered by astronomer Caroline Herschel, using a 10.67 cm (4.2 inch) Newtonian reflector, on the 27th September 1783.
The object was rediscovered by German astronomer William Herschel in 1788.
