NGC 7268 (also PGC 68839) is a magnitude +13.8 pair of galaxies located 390 million light-years away in the constellation Piscis Austrinus.
The galaxies were discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town on the 28th September 1834.
