NGC 509 (also MCG 1-4-45, UGC 932 and PGC 5080) is a magnitude +13.4 barred spiral galaxy located 104 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) reflector in Malta on the 1st October 1864.
