NGC 505 (also MCG 1-4-41, UGC 924 and PGC 5036) is a magnitude +13.8 spiral galaxy located 256 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) reflector in Malta on the 1st October 1864.
