NGC 888 (also ESO 115-2 and PGC 8743) is a magnitude +13.0 elliptical galaxy located 402 million light-years away in the constellation Horologium.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town on the 6th October 1834.
