NGC 1294 (also IRAS 03184+4111, MCG 7-7-76, UGC 2694 and PGC 12600) is a magnitude +13.2 elliptical galaxy located 303 million light-years away in the constellation Perseus.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough on the 17th October 1786.
