NGC 414 (also UGC 744 and PGC 2653) is a magnitude +13.8 spiral galaxy located 250 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces.
The galaxy was discovered by Swedish astronomer Per Magnus Herman Schultz using a 24.38 cm (9.6 inch) f/17.7 Steinheil refractor at the Uppsala Observatory, Sweden on the 22nd October 1867.
