NGC 7449 (also MCG 6-50-16, UGC 12292 and PGC 70196) is a magnitude +14.0 elliptical galaxy located 234 million light-years away in the constellation Andromeda.
The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Edouard Stephan using a 80.01 cm (31.5 inch) reflector at the Marseille Observatory on the 23rd October 1878.
