NGC 7248 (also MCG 7-45-22, UGC 11972 and PGC 68485) is a magnitude +12.4 spiral galaxy located 202 million light-years away in the constellation Lacerta. 

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road in Slough, Berkshire, on the 8th November 1790.

Position (J2000): R.A. 22h 16m 52.5s  |  Dec. +40° 30' 19"
