NGC 45 (also ESO 473-1, IRAS 00115-2327, MCG -4-1-21, UGCA 4 and PGC 930) is a magnitude +10.4 spiral galaxy located 32.6 ±10 million light-years in the constellation Cetus.
The cluster was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town on the 11th November 1835.
