NGC 5098 (also PGC 46529 and PGC 46515) are a pair of magnitude +14.1 and +14.6 elliptical galaxies located 499 and 516 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici.

NGC 5098 was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 29th April 1827.

Right Ascension 13h 20m 14.7s, Declination +33° 08' 36" (PGC 46529)

Right Ascension 13h 20m 17.9s, Declination +33° 08' 42" (PGC 46515)
