NGC 5974 (also UGC 9952, MCG 5-37-10, IRAS15370+3155 and PGC 55694) is a magnitude +14.0 spiral galaxy located 92 million light-years away in the constellation Corona Borealis.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 29th April 1827.
