NGC 5646 (also MCG 6-32-45, IRAS14274+3540, UGC 9312 and PGC 51779) is a magnitude +14.2 barred spiral galaxy located 394 million light-years away in the constellation Boötes.
The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Edouard Stephan using a 80.01 cm (31.5 inch) reflector at the Marseille Observatory on the 29th April 1881.
