NGC 6041 (also UGC 10170, MCG + 03-41-078 and PGC 56962 and PGC 56960) is a pair of magnitude +13.4 and +15.8 elliptical galaxies located 484 and 479 million light-years away in the constellation Hercules.
The galaxies were discovered by French astronomer Edouard Stephan using a 80.01 cm (31.5 inch) reflector at the Marseille Observatory on the 27th June 1870.
